PARENTAL CONTROL

PARENTAL CONTROL

Thanks to MTV, frustrated parents will once again get the chance to kick their kid's loser boyfriends and girlfriends to the curb!

MTV gives parents a chance to interfere in their children's relationship. Do you think parents know who's the best choice for their child? Should they play match makers? If not where do you think do people find their true soulmates these days?

  1. I happen to think that the parents are trying to help, but they just dont understand the type of person that you like, i know they are trying to do whats best for you to grow up, but they shouldnt butt in on your realationships, because its none of there business. these days poeple can find their soulmayes anywhere in the world, there arent really any limits in finding love anymore.

But hey, What do you guys think about it?

  2. My opinion is that parents do not get involved in their child's life. From experice that is horrible and the child is just losing trust in their parents. I think that the child will make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes though, that is just part of life. But the fact is, is they learn from their mistakes and that's what makes them stronger and that's what the child will learn from.
If the parents make discisions for their child especially in a relationship, the child will most likely rebel on what their parents say and do the oposite of what their parents tell them. Also, the parents making the descision of who their child dates and what not will not help the child at all. It will only make matters worse when it comes to them being on their own because they will be used to their parents making descisions for them.
    What do you think?

I don't think parents should be able to get involved with their kid's entertainment because they shouold trust their kids with the responsibilty.

  4. It might be that parents try to protect their children, but on the other hand, it's not really their business. Parental interferences are necessary if there are plain evidences that the boyfriend / the girlfriend abuses drugs or does other illegal things, but normally, they just don't like their childrens partner because they fear that their child might become too independent or that they somehow lose control.
Parents should not play match makers. Their children know what they feel, and if love doesn't last long, then "We told you!" would be the worst thing one could say, I guess.
    What's your opinion?

  5. I agree with Andie's opinion. The more the parents prohibit, the more their children rebel. This becomes clear, when you observe, that so many participators chose their current partner. When you're really in love with this person, you won't leave him or her for any foreigner.

  6. I think the show is a good thing I mean you do have the choice to go back with the person you have been dating but, it also gives you a chance to find someone new who you and your parents like. If you think about it when you get married you want it to be with someone your family likes otherwise visiting your parents and in the future would be more of a bad thing than a good which isn’t something you would want. Last, you do get 2 free dates!!!!!!! Haha but that’s just my thought about it so tell me what you think.

  7. I think that, in some situations it's important that the parents protect their childrens from bad influences like having a rude boy- or girlfriend..
One the other side parents should allow their children to make their own decisions.Choosing their boy-or girlfriend is something they should decide on their own, because nobody else besides them knows with whom they're in love with. The age of the children plays an important role in such decisions. If they become older they should make their own experiences. If the parents never let their children decide on their own the relationship between them will get worse.
Nobody can say where and when someone will find his soulmate.Often it's by accident.

  8. I think that parents should let there kids live there lives, and learn from there mistakes. If parents keep watching the kids every move and protect them from everything when they are a kid, once they move out they will try to make up for lost times and make bad decisions over and over. And the parents should let there kids date somebody if they feel that strongly about them, no matter how big of a "loser" he/she is, love is found in the strangest of places.
